Amwald Amwald	alfonso	Creamware User Patches	2002-02-14	Warm, fat synth, using Waldorf Osc and Multi-Oscillator: Hello dear pulsarian friends, here is a synth whose name can recall a german forest, but it means just that beside a multioscillator there is a Waldorf module whose output is modulated in amplitude by the multioscillator itself. The result is a warm and fat sound of subtractive character with well sustained and vibrating overtones that can give a wider sound, not obtained only with the limited and sometimes exagerated filter resonance & cutoff, but also trying to integrate Waldorf wavetable in a different way, to keep the sound powerful and well coloured. i made some controller assignations with 2 mod. wheels, so if you have them....use them! well, a synth to play, not to read, so enjoy. ciao, alfonso d'amora. I built it specifically to create short drum patterns which I then sample in Soundforge. I then drop the wav file into VST. Each voice has an effect: four delays, one flanger, and one soft distortion. Each effect lies directly under module it enhances. I purposely didn't use tempo delays since I prefer a more natural swing. You can play the 6 voices starting at middle C on the keyboard and the next five white notes. I hope you've also got both the JPEGS - especially if you're new to Pulsar. One shows the surface of the patch, the other shows the project. The project allows you to play the voices on a midi keyboard; punch it into the sequencer; play along with the sequencer, or sample into Soundforge without changing any other settings on your PC or on your amp. The project also has a 30-band analyser at the end of the chain. All up it uses about 50% of six DSPs. Cheers, Spirit	II	N

Put your the sound you want to trigger in 1&2 inputs and the sound to provide envelope in input 3. If you put a mic in input 3 it can work with the voice - you achieve the same effect of a breath control. I made it to play blues harp (harmonica) sample, brass or to get unique groove you can just program long chords in your seq. and then gate it with your voice. It's not finished, so I would like some suggestions and improvements. I added a spectral Osc, and 3 tube resonators for emulating diffusors, modulated by aftertouch, that add harmonics and dynamics. A couple of filters, one to control timbre, and another one to clean up some glitches that occur by using amplitude modulation via Atouch,it didn't sound smouth enough. The rest is up to you to play with. For the demo I have used Gong2 preset (And big hall reverb, and a sampled string pad, of course). Next time I'll try to emulate real metallic and string resonators adding delays to the resonators and/or ring mod, and comb filters. Any ideas?. You can make vibrato manually with aftertouch in other presets. I have much fun cause I love that instrument.	II	N

This is a nice toy that uses a sample pool I made with a computer vocal synthesizer. The samples of the plain fonts sound as English spelling, so to obtain consonant sounds I sampled also words like 'ka' or 'ma' that in English sound that way. The samples are all F#, so you get the notes you need tuning the dr.sample modules. It's not a little download, due to the sample pool, but I think it's worth it. A multi-lfo module is used as oscillator with freq.out from mvc that feeds its ext.freq. input and a pitch seq. that feeds one of its p.mod.inputs. A 24db lowpass vintage filter...filters. Distortion is mixed with its independent level with the original signal in a xfade modulator to control distortion with a single knob. enriched with clocked effects. Sound goes from very vintage tangerine dream, gong or some terry riley to the modern propellerheads stuff. There are several presets and only one pattern i made. (let's compose!) Pulsarizer Pulsarizer	alfonso	PlanetZ	2000-11-08	A powerful dynamic audio processor: Do you need a modular sound with lot of polyphony and rhythmic features and you run out of dsp? Do you have an old and unhearable hardware expander that could be used for adding sounds in a full project? Put this light audio modular1 (good for everyone) between a high polyphony sampleplayer with the most stupid pad you have or the analog source with your u220(or worst expander) connected and their destinations. Connect midi to the Pulsarizer (to get clock and continous data) and....play. (experiment all knobs). The particular thing is that together with two LFO's I use also a multi oscillator as modulator, fed in it's freq. input by a freq. multipler and with it's output routed to two audio modulators. In this way you can shape a dynamic groove related to the clock multiplied freq that feeds the osc. but also, transposing the osc. wave by semitone values you get a rid of very musical stereo polyrythmic and triplet effects. Of course the presets sound is changing with the sound you feed in the audio inputs. The presets are saved with internal clock in the modular, to have an easy preview, but if you are going to change program from your sequencer, you have to resave them with ext. clock. This brings subtle control of their summed sound as you tweak the waveform's start point and a certain 'plastic' character that I like, but also it's not the lightest patch on dsp's, considering that it's mostly a polyphonic synth. It uses also vocal filter and clocked random lfo's. It's very indicated for choirs (there are two choir presets that helped me to get rid of boring oh-ah akai's and keep excellent presence in the mix, as they keep the warmth of the best analog emulation...) and motion pads for trip-hop and 'phoedra' like ambients. For those of whom the numbers 'seventy three' does not ring a bell, it's the famous Rhodes everyone's talking about. Anyway, we're talking about a ModIII patch so it's nothing along the lines of what a physmod rhodes can do, but it's pretty darn close, I think. The best I could do was to compare it with my Nord Electro. (Electro has Mark I sounds) It's quite heavy.. but I still got 14 voices on my Pulsar II. Which makes it quite usable. It's a project with just Seventy Three and dynamixer though. This is no FM crappy rhodes. Well, I use FM, but the realism is at a totally different level! Download it, and play it for a few minutes. This is not a new idea, but the introduction of vowel filters in this patch (conceived originally on mod.1) creates incredible percussive timbral dynamics.
